.Laudati Gives Generous Gift in Support of Pet Therapy Program

Donna Laudati, a lifelong animal enthusiast and employee of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (formerly Saint Barnabas Medical Center), recently updated her estate plans to include the Medical Center's Pet Therapy Program. Says Donna, "It has been something I have been thinking of for quite some time. It is a chance to do something wonderful that will last beyond my lifetime. I wish to leave some good behind through the comfort and joy a dog can bring to a sick patient." Donna gives all the credit to the dogs for influencing her decision "I think it was the dogs themselves that influenced me the most," Donna said. She continued, "The health benefits that pets can provide, especially in lowering blood pressure is now known. Just by having dogs pay a visit to a patient can make a huge difference. They bring so much happiness wherever they go."

We are grateful to Donna for her visionary commitment to the future of the Pet Therapy program and the patients who will continue to benefit from it.
